About Sparks@LSE

Welcome to the Sparks@LSE Entrepreneurship Conference 2012!

Sparks@LSE, hosted by the LSEsu Entrepreneurs Society, is an interactive weekend entrepreneurship conference for 250 of the most ambitious students from around the world. Led by high-profile entrepreneurs, the conference will feature lectures, networking sessions, skills-based workshops and a business planning competition.

Through our diverse agenda, our goal is to inspire young people to develop their business potential and encourage innovative thinking. This year, we will once again be supporting the Microloan Foundation, a UK charity providing small loans, business training and guidance to women entrepreneurs in sub-Saharan Africa.

Last year, at our inaugural conference (Sparks@LSE '10), we had the great pleasure of welcoming a variety of world-class entrepreneurs from the likes of Edward Wray (Co-founder, Betfair) and John Pluthero (CEO, Cable&Wireless) to Lord Karan Bilimoria (Founder, Cobra Beer) and Sir John Bird (Founder, The Big Issue).

We are incredibly happy to have grown our network of entrepreneurs affiliated with the event this year and are thoroughly looking forward to the business anecdotes and tips that will be shared at the conference this year.

Entrepreneurship has become a buzzword over the past few years. Now more than ever, the world needs businessmen and women to revolutionise an industry and energise the economy! The Sparks team are proud to provide a platform to do exactly that and we look forward to welcoming you in February!
